You must all read this letter or you'll die spiritually 6/12/17

you must read this letter or youll die spiritually

just kidding but this is gonna be good

this week on sunday we walked in to church a little bit fiu because none of our amis decided that their promises to come to church were important to keep! its ok that happens. par contre, there was this really fiesty looking woman who we didnt know that walked into the chapelle with a recent convert family. she came up to me and presented herself just like that without smiling. her name is MaryJoseph from this island called Tatakoto where there is no
and then she came to our concert that night and she loved it so much that she wanted our pictures and our autographs. and then she invited us with her member family to come to her house the next night to eat and stuff. so we went over and found out three things

1 she is just about the most openminded and spirited person who existed
2 she lost her 4 year old daughter a few months ago
3 shes catholic but never baptised her daughter so therefore believed she was in enfer

so we taught her about the beautiful plan of salvation. her eyes and her comments and her face expressions changed to be so surprised throughout the lesson. so surprised and joyful, and it made the lesson so so beautiful that she was just willing to listen and to take in the truth of it and when we talked about moroni 8, and baptism, she got pumped. we talked about children and baptism also and how they dont need to be baptised cause they are pure!!!

the next lesson we were planning on commiting her to baptism but then sr spencer asked her a question. she asked "what do you think we want for you from these lessons?" but marie jo thought she asked "what do you want through these lessons?" she paused for a second really seriously and then said "you know sisters, i w
sorry i didnt mean to send it

i was saying she said "i want baptism. are you going to accept my request?"

bahhhh oui. so there. she was planning on returning to her island out in the boonies of the tuamotus and then coming back to get baptised, but then during our reunion de district Elder Claflin, bless his heart, shared this story in acts 3 about a small ethiopian man who spends one day with an apostle and then he says "theres a river, what is keeping me from being baptised right now?" so then we shared that scripture with marie jo (after she had stayed home ALL DAY and read the scriptures and all the lessons) and she stared at the ground for a minute after the story, and said "what about tomorrow?"

so there. she got baptised saturday so that she can go through the temple in a year to be sealed to her little girl forever :)

i have felt the spirit so much this week through this womans faith. i was so astounded to see such quick action after an answer to a prayer. she truly knows that God has forgiven her of her sins and shes put her WHOLE ENTIRE HEART AND MIND into following christ afterwards. i dont even know how else to express this message to you all, that Christ lives and he is present in our lives and he will come SWOOPING in with blessings and the spirit if we just do so much as to decide to listen and follow him. we are the masters of our own fates. we just have to open the door.

i love my life ahhhhhhhh
