never a dull moment. thats how i feel with sr spencer :) i
cant even believe how lucky i got to serve with such a fireball of positive
energy. :) we probably stayed up too late last night screaming gladys knight
songs
this week wasnt super duper eventful. i mean, as uneventful
as life can get here. we did do two concerts and therefore im all sung out but
its so fun singing about jesus and looking out over the people listening to the
words. they feel music deep deep into their bones, tahitians.
ill just share a thought about life i guess. theres a woman
who we teach whos name is deborah. shes not a part of this church and not
really pratiquant in her church (i dont know how to say that in english) but
she just loves christ so so much. and the thing she loves most is that he was
so sure and pure about his love for us that he went through some TERRIBLE
things, things we will never understand, "just so we could be happy."
in her words.
when she was talking about christ and how she feels about
him, i felt my heart just bursting with joy for this woman and it reminded me
of what jesus says to peter when peter testifies to him that he is the Christ-
that he was blessed because it was not the power of men which made it known to
him, but Christ himself. his spirit and his LIGHT were the reasons that peter
knew who he was, and his openness to making decisions based on it. thats how
deborah is. and shes been drawn to us because of how she feels when we teach
her what jesus taught in his life. she feels drawn to the church because
"they are humble like christ." she is drawn to invite every single
member of her family to come listen to us when we go over there because she is
much like lehi, an innocent searcher of joy for her family.
this gospel is joy and so are you if you apply it :) i love
you kids. happy fathers day dadowfax i love ya!!! everyone go hug my dad for me
cause it was his birthday toooooooooo GOOOO YOU 35 YEAR OLD
