so much for the rock 6/26/17

i dont know where to begin. or what to think, or how to think! JE SUIS PERDU

just... some stuff happened this week that was magnificent. really really quite incredible. like more cool than your average stuff.
cant believe the miracles

first of all remember Deborah? and how she really likes the gospel. well she asked us to try and do the lessons with her husband Minou so we went over there last sunday morning with our mgc jean pierre who is a powerful man and used to be bishop. hes just a firecracker missionary worker. all deborah said to us was "ah soeur ma, il est dur comme un caillou mais je veut que vous fassiez les lecons. meme si il est paari" basically hes hard as a rock, in her thoughts.

we let him talk for about an hour, and among a lot of other weird details, found out he just loves the bible and the lords prayer and his family. he LOVES Jesus and hes really excited for when jesus comes again and is waiting anxiously... by doing not much spiritually. but we asked him to start praying every night on his knees and not being ashamed about it.
the next time we came back, he had actually prayed! so we got pumped and he was too and we talked about the restoration of the gospel. honestly the spirit was so strong in that lesson and i was super reminded of how much this is important to us and how the fact that God RESTORED the gospel means that he wants MY family to be blessed today. and all the families. and i was reminded of how much i love THIS family... he liked the story because he is really open and thinks all religions are true because we all have the same bible. but he told us nonetheless he would pray about joseph smith being a prophet
then the next time we came over, hed done that! he had prayed. he also showed us his giant bible (as shown below) which has many photos. he didnt believe that joseph smith was a prophet, even though he had prayed so we asked him lots of questions about his life and just.. it was just really cool. eventually we had shared enough biblical scriptures that he believed that there needs to be a prophet on the earth if we want to be close to jesus christ. and then he asked a question id like to repeat:
"so how does one come to know the church of christ?"
we just turned to a page in our pamphlet that talks about prayer and that was enough for him. he said "i dont need to."
hes gonna be baptised august 5th

voila MINOU the cute man i love him and his bible.

then theres another ami whos name is Soon who fell off the face of the earth for a few months to go live in punaauia, and i thought she would never come back. i was so sad cause i love this girl! shes 20 and i just relate to her so well. but it turns out that God prepared her also by setting her up with this return missionary who really impressed her with his good attitude and calmness in stressful situations (way to represent, kid). so she called us up and said "sisters im going to see the temple tonight with david please help me" hahahaa she just wanted to understand.

so we talked about the temple and she cried the whole time. she told us she needs to repair her life because shes been in the bottom of the pit and she thought alcohol and parties were the answer but they just arent. so we asked her to pray before going to the temple to know if she needs to go inside one day, and turns out god wants her to go inside one day.

guess what its the same for all of us.
but now she knows and now shes just fighting her angry parents who want to disown her because she wants to be baptised. please pray for Soon!!!! i know she can do this decision because its eternal

freak we are just happy to be alive.

i love my life im never leaving it
