I have a wet bum 1/23/17

we experiences various miracles this week heres a small listing of them

-I was COLD for the very first time on the mission and i used the heater in the car. ahhhh it rained and rained and rained and the wind blew our skirts off! what a time. what a good time. it feels so good to want hot chocolate again. theres much water all over the place and people tell us theres a hurricane sometimes
-i managed to miss all of the snow days in the history of logan utah for this wonderful tropical weather
- we found a man last sunday who, after the first lesson, was super pumped about getting baptised AND hes not in concubinage AND his parents dont object greatly!
- his name is Mario which is also my dad's name. shoutout to Dadowfax :)
- we almost died in the car cause we hydroplaned a little but all is well and we arent dead. thanks for the prayers everyone
- Pierre our converti recent wants to be baptised for his parents who died a while ago! also during our lesson with him he pulled out like 10 encyclopedias and told us hes read them all. all of them
- we were sort of guided to this lady who is a member but hasnt come to church for a long long time. she popped right out of her house and told us to hurry and come in, then cried and told us shes tried to commit suicide last week but got help and has been praying for someone to come visit her ever since. we were able to share with her some experiences and how much we know that God loves her and that Christ has already gone throught everything she is going through, that he knows her perfectly. what a miracle that is that he knows us so perfectly to be able to help us perfectly. she just cried and cried, and her husband was so touched he invited us to come again the next week for a family night. hes not even a member. she said she wanted to quit drinking and come back to the church also:) man.. the gospel is joy!! i love talking about it. its like all we ever talk about anymore besides weird movie scenes.
- one day this week i only showered one time during the day and i wasnt even THAT gross
- my sister did a face swap with my dog and looks like a sick sheep
- i was in nepal a year ago! shoutout to the nepal pals :)

Frog Durrant 1/16/17

There are 3 main religions other than LDS that rule the french polynesian culture
protestant, adventist, and catholic
they are VERY traditional hahaha and its been cool learning so very much about other religions cause before my mission i was mostly concentrated on studying, well, the one i was gonna go teach.
its also really interesting learning why there is one religion that has the FULNESS of the gospel, love, and blessings of Jesus Christ. Ive learned this through trying to explain to angry parents why we are trying to take their honorable kids out of the family tradition. "he was born protestant and he will die protestant because thats what my great grandpa did." well, where is the honor if your child is unhappy, addicted to weed and is out on the road doing who knows what? once he decides to change and accept this fulness of christ in his life, thats when you want to throw him on the street?
when he changes from bad to good?
ive put a lot of thought into this lately. That change from unhappy to happy, bad to good, depends on our FAITH in Jesus Christ and in our ACTIONS we take to show it. our friend Pierre, a single 50 year old bad a fisherman was just baptised on Saturday after showing every ounce of humility ive ever seen in a person to get on his knees and commit to follow the commandments. stop drinking, which is really hard, and to REMEMBER his savior through his actions. it was incredible. We went through a lot of stressful moments trying to help him and organize his baptism hahaha but those things shy in comparison to what he said with tears running down his cheeks after he was baptised;
"I'd like to thank these two angels and my Heavenly Father for getting me out of this gulf i was in."
i dont have much time left or my camera to send pics this week, but know that there is no one in this world who deserves to feel lonely or forsaken. GOD IS THERE AND HE EXISTS AND HE LOVES YOU!!!!! im not a hippie im just someone who tells the truth because i have found it for me :) helping other people find this truth and get out of their "gulfs" is literally the best thing in the world. i couldnt ask for a better life. everything is worth it for blessings like these here
thank you to all of my fans. lol this week sr dumouchel and i decided that i was a frog and she was a sloth. ive never felt so sure of myself in my life.  frog durrant

IAORANA TO'U MAU HOA HERE

hello i love you all so much!! i just hope and pray yall can feel my love emenating through this little email this week

i think this week i fell off the emotional rollercoaster. im not even strapped in anymore just kinda careening into emotional limbo here. hello!! help! just kidding all is well but wow SUCH  a crazy week of so many out of the ordinary happy moments and just the exact opposite hahaha but thats the mission you know

mostly cause we fixed jasons baptism and he was SO READY oh my gosh, he was just so so so excited to change his life and come unto christ. this is no joke. he told us hes never ever felt like this in any other church and that he knows this is the true church yadda yadda. his dad even accepted his free agency and told him it was his choice. yay fasting! my goodness it was so amazing! but THEN all of a sudden saturday we went over there and he was so... different. he shared his thoughts about the story of lehi and the tree of life, how he wants his family to come to christ also so we said "hey invite them to your baptism" and he got this look on his face and said "im not ready." oh man. we did everything in our power with this kid to help him see that he really is ready, all he needs to do is keep the commandments like he is doing and know how much god loves him.. but yep. he was solid on this decision to cancel it. then we had a lot of other problems with members and planning te next day and kilometers in the car and we were late to everything.. and we were so so discouraged. sr dumouchel and i got so sad about how we felt like nobody liked us hahaha and there was no one in the ward who wants to help us. we were at the end of all the ropes we had

then we went to the house of our ward mission leader (who looks like dwayne johnson so i call him dwayne johnson) for our meeting with him. we got there and find a group of people standing around his couch with him laying there like a mummy with bandages wrapped around his head. turns out, he was in his garden, pulled out a plant and this giant giant boulder smashed him!! i looked at sr dumouchel and said "we arent doing our meeting with him like this." almost just after i whispered thaat to her, the mummy man looked at me and couldnt even lift his head and said

"soeur durrant, c'est quoi la nouvelle?" (whats the news)

i said "on what?"

he said "our investigators"

i dont know man. that hit me right to the center and i just started bawling. heres this almost incapitated man who cant even move his head to talk to me and has every excuse to take a day off, and yet with his limited energy all he wants to do is help a few of God's precious children. among all these capable people who can help, the only one who wanted to was the one who was crushed by a rock. i was so touched by his willingness. he told me he was so excited when he knew we were coming over that day because he wanted to hear about what was going on chez les amis and for us :)

christ is everywhere

well ill get out of your hair, just know i love you all :) we should have a baptism this saturday for pierre varney the bad fisherman who cries a lot :) ahahaha i love that guy

keep up the good work; God's work. sending love from the beautiful and warm raiatea :) sorry for everyone who got ttrapped in a snow monster this week

"its clobbering time" -Dwayne johnson
hi tatou

sorr about last week mom i didnt write an email to you guys. i know im the worst ill prolly never get married like aj and nicole

hahahaha sorry

I wish i could think of where to start hahaha uhh first of all i bought a camera!!!! thank you so mucho its very very nice and quite pretty. takes pretty pictures. ill try and send a lot if this computer will work with me

its SO HOT i cant believe the snow over there in america! what the crud! im having a hard time imagining that hahaha same as you for me. i sleep without anything most of the time. that is, i sleep with clothes on haha. thats all. but thats silly also because of the mosquitos. tired of having itchy legs all the time.

hahaha mom what in the world, im so grateful you did not get crushed by a train. that would have been super unfortunate for everyone. im grateful for lots of men that come to pull your silly marshmallow car out of the snow even if they think youre silly

congrats on school being closed!

i just got the letter mom wrote me on halloween. thanks a ton hahaha im not sure how this all works, this letter sending thing. im trying to write and send one soon also but theres no promises that will get there before my mission ends

yikes! its january. the best month everrrrrrr. is there a christmas party at the clue house soon? i cant believe that i left for nepal a week ago. that trip felt so long to me and so many things happened. and i was all all alone. the mission is considerably different but also kind of the same :) on a greater and crazier scale where im not surrounded by people who drink and smoke constantly
actually thats a lie theres so many smokers and drinkers here

aj youre right this week was interesting as far as missionary work. ill tell you one thing- when people wanna party they PARTY. it was scary

we found a rat in the bathroom. it was surprising to me how much i screamed, i mean i used to have a pet rat named skippy. this rat made me feel a lot more afraid for my life. but dont worry, theres no sign of asthma or exima or another awkward phase creeping up

teesh!! YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! your hair oh my goodness maybe ill cut mine like that when i get home and youll have to help me do it

ian hows it going? dont forget to write

you too isaac

aj are you still working at the clinic? man school. im just so pumped to have like another year of no homework

congrats nicole you have rock  out of the kitchen kneads phase. moving on to crazy professor

dad i had a moment this week i just felt like i needed to dump all of my problems on you cause you always knew how to solve them. :) you rock dad. also i decided im gonna call you Dadowfax now

mom i just love you a lot. youre lookin real good. youre so pretty and i feel like youve lost weight since i left? cest vrai?

youre all da best

1/2/17 The

World! Yo i hope youre all ok and enjoying this new year of 2017 that just fell right on our laps. Hahaha i CANT BELIEVE 2016 is over.

This week was different, many of our lessons fell through due to the new year drunkness. Hahzha there is much partying here at this moment but as usual, heavenly father led us to people to teach and success we have found. This area is so cool. I love faaroa and my ward ànd my daughter sr dumouchel and my district and my life. Even though i didnt sleep too well this week im happY as a clam. :) i ate a totzl of one mussel and one oyster and almostnthrew up both times. Yuck

As i was thinking about all of the months this year and what happened and how i felt, i realized this was a year od intense feelings. I am not really an intense person but i went through the most joyful of happy top of the mountain moments to the worst of seriously AWFUL pits of doom hahaha. Ok that was exaggerated but ive been through all the moods and personal struggles this year more than ever. But i regret absoluteky nothing. Heres why:

Reflections 101 by Audrey. 2016
Learn to trust in God. Thats all i can say to anyone who is struggling with anything in their life. Learn to put yourself ô your knees and just speak to him. Ask him to forgivr you, help you, and teach you. Promise him you will do his will and MEÀN it. Out of the bajillion things i have learned this year, this very short and lông year, it is this. Know he exists and that he knows infinitely more than us, because he created us. He sees the entirety of things, all the plans of all the people who were made by him and the perfect exactness of WHO we are and who we can become, who we need to become.

Become that.

Humiliyy is the key to finding that will for ourselves, and sometimes it is in the times of desperation to know something, ANYTHING, that we seek Him. They are the only timed we are humble enough to do so with a "fulness of heart" and again out of desperation to DO something good, we immediately do what is made known unto us.

The desperation to  to good. To become good. This is what i have experienced this year; a desperation to know why im here and know who i am through the eyes of jesus christ my savior and redeemer ànd who HE is for me, how i can become who im supposed to be through his enabling grace and infinite atonement.

Through him i have founf capabilities i never thiught were possible. Like becoming somewhat trilingual and being able to teach the language of the gospel also through throughh the language of the spirit in these three languages. Haha. Like adapting to 100% humidity 100% of the time and to a culture that is literally insane. :) learning to laugh at all things possible because everything is hilzriius. Learning to overcome my passive nature and be direct with others. Being in charge of 1827363 things at once. Feeling a deep profound love for even people who dont like me. :) seeing them as individuals to God and feeling impressed strongly of how i can help them. PRAYING.

And a quote i read clear back in march when i road tripped to washington with my friends #shoutoutto6chicks

"Dont sweat the small stuff (and really its all small stuff)."

I am more sweaty than anyône reading this,  but remember if it doesnt affect your eternity, its nothing to get your panties in a wad about. :)

I love each of you this much -------------------------------------- happy new years!!

i te faaipoipo no i te mau uri taata 12/26/16

hi again friends!!! oh my goodness i just saw the cutest pic of aj and nicole and i almost threw up cuz half of me thought it was so adorable and the other half was like OH MY GOSH MY BROTHER IS GETTING MARRIED. my brother who used to put a toy sword in his underwear

that was a weird feeling. but aj and nicole im so happy for you!! i really dont like missing things and thats probably why i seem like im not excited about it but really in reality i have fomo (fear of missing out) and im just gonna probably be the most dedicated missionary ever tomorrow and not even think about it. the music..; the food.. the TEMPLE!!! the family... the glory... the endless line of smiling people.. you can replay the whole wedding when i get home ok? :) i love marriage! esp temple marriage. ive come to appreciate it so much here on my mission cause people just ignore marriage here and have a 16 kids before they tie the knot. but its such an important step in life if you dont want giant problems later on. good job my friends.

oh my gosh!! thanks for skyping me yesterday!!!! im so so grateful i got to talk to you guys and see your faces even though the connection was bad, the ipad died, there were crazy tahitians everywhere, and i couldnt hear you or think of funny stories to tell you in the moment (sorry) i noticed lots has changed (like the living room and isaac is ginormous and ian is even more ginormous... and marriage) but also not really anything at all. youre all the same exact people. that was cool to hear your voices again and see that mom still chews her gum intensely. aj yawns the same and isaac and teesh just say funny stuff out of no where. ian im proud of you for your 1 date per month. here we try to do 22 lessons each week, maybe we will have a challenge. for every week of lessons we do you have to do .26 that amount of dates per month. that makes 5.72 dates per month. can you do it? yes you can.  hahahaha

heres some stuff that i wanted to tell you yesterday but i forgot to cause im an awkward skyper

1: what you saw from the people there was very very accurate of how it is. they are very persistent if they have a goal (IF they have a goal haha). those members really had a goal to talk to you guys even if you did not understand them or vise versa hahaha. they think on a very small scale. this little island is all they know, a lot of them, and it is SO CRAZY for some of them to think that we left our homeland to come thousands of miles away to be white kids speaking an ancient island language. so they wanted to see real americans in a real american house who speak american hahaha. they love you

2: tahitian sounds like singing haha thats very nice of you, hm i havent ever thought of it that way, ive thought of it mostly like smacking your lips repeatedly as you say all the vowel noises over and over. tahitian is seriously so much fun though i have found a great love for this language and my goal is to be fluent in it before october of 2017. it makes me laugh so hard, the way they create words out of the small tiny words they have already. its a blessing im here and we speak more of it here. the thing is, almost everyone speaks at least a little french here and they are accustomed to speaking french with the popaa (white people) but people over 30 years usually prefer and understand tahitian more. so generally no one starts convos with me in tahitian but then i start speaking tahitian its so funny to see the change of attitude. theyre like YYYEH this white girl speaks tahitian and then they actually want to listen haha. that gives a lot of desire to learn it also cause its so fun to surprise people.

heres some fun ones

puaa horo fenua
pig     run    land       = horse

farau monamona
flour     sweet            = cake

haa               toitoi     raa         mea
to make        cold     noun        thing       = fridge

uri  taata
dog man              = monkey

puaa  niho
pig      teeth     = goat

manu  patia
bird       stab      = bee

manu reva
bird     fly          = airplane (dont birds already fly?)

tahaa = naked  (the name of an island next to us) (i hope i never go there)

fare     maamaa
house   crazy           = insane asylumn

3: mom thats really nice of you to say my face looks thinner hahah thanks mom. i feel like a lard most of the time because we eat so much food. i said we eat lots of meat and that was true. all meals either have rice or fries also. theres not too much variety but most of it isnt too gross. the ham is weird and the original tahitian food is bad stuff for the bowels. theres a lot of cream in the food also. they put cream on pizza. also they love all kinds of sauce. ive never seen anyone contest dad in ketchup eating except a tahitian man named maui paraurahi. i love the raw fish cause they mix it with limes, tomatoes, cucumbers, onions, carrots, and then they put coconut milk in it. on rice. thats my favorite thing here and its sad cause we dont have fresh fish often in utah thats not from lakes! its seriously not the same thing. fruits here are either super good or just soooooooooooooper bad and give you a little reesty feeling for a few days. theres some strange stuff i have no idea what they are called in english but theyre nasty.
anyway thanks to my running shoes, insanity videos, and my jumprope i think im staying sort of in shape hahaha. and planks. those are nice

so i dont have much time left but GOOD LUCK TOMORROW EVERYONE have a good vacation and in your endless free time please answer these questions i didnt have time to ask

- why was light and dark created on the 3rd day in temple vids and not the 1st day?
- when is moana coming out in tahitian?
- when did isaac get glasses and is he as blind as mom?
- does teesh still play the piano?
- whats the theme song of the wedding?
- is ian going to do something funny at the wedding?
- whats the stupidest thing theo has done since ive been gone?
- what happend to all the cats?
- whats the latest mom phrase? do you still all say "GET IT"
- does dad have really grey hair yet?
- what is nicoles favorite song?

ill think of more later

send pics of all things. i promise to do better with that as well

i am a happy camper. i love this place :) thanks for being my fam and merry merry christmas talk to you in 2017

we redid the pic of me as a loner cause i got cut out of the picture. the curse continues
heres a sacrificial post and me
me and sr dumouchel being us. shes so fun fave comp yet next to james
a boy and all his glory
typical dog
gave some presents to kids for christmas
parahiraa tahiti (tahitian seat)
one of our hippie investigators (HE CAME TO CHURCH YESTERDAY ITS A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE)

ho ho ho howdy world 12/19/16

ho ho ho!! howdy world i hope everyone is doing just fine and dandy as candy

candy is all ive eaten lately hahaha yayyy for toblerone and bonbon chinoise!!! chocolate in tahiti is to die for i decided to never come back to i didnt mean to end that email there haha whoops sorry everyone. but anyway, the point is we dont have kinder in america cause some kid choked on a toy and then they got sued so this wonderful goodness was taken out of our country. sad day

but this week was good! we were able to fix the baptismal dates for jean eudes and pierre. hahaha we only teach single older hippie men who live alone and fish or garden or hike for a living. #faapu

but the fishing they do here is actually insane. its not just your average grab a hook and a worm and go get a trout kind of deal. we were talking to pierre about his occupation and he explained to us that he gets all dressed up in his wet suit and goggles and fins, grabs a harpoon, and then he dives into the water very deep to go and shoot some great massive beasts in the ocean!! he just goes right down there with no oxygen for like 4 minutes at a time and harpoons some din din! in the dark! he memorized how the fish "breathe" or blow bubbles and then he uses like echolocation or something to that effect. people are crazy. i think they are fish actually. fish are good friends.

other things that happened:
sr jaquet found my keys to my bike in the freezer after 3 weeks of them being lost. dont ask how they got there
i had a dream last night it snowed here and i was super pumped until i realized how cold snow is. then i was ok
sr dumouchel and i turned into the most basic of white girls
and i think this week took the cake for the most sweaty week of my existence. its a good thing we cant date on the mission because with sweat tacos like this i wouldnt catch any fish of the sea
we tried to do service for lighttheworld but every time we tried to wash dishes or help clean things out of the garden we were met with a violent array of protest from whoever owned the thing. "sisters!!!! leave it sisters thats my job!!! SISTERS LEAVE IT I WANT TO DO IT YOU CANT DO IT!!!!" and we tried still to continue but then they used means of phyiscal force to throw us out of their work areas. tahitians are very protective of their work domains. if you want to see someone turn into a gorilla, try to do their dishes
we played with a lizard and named him randy
we named our van shadowfax.
we made guacomole

merry christmas everyone. i have a spiritual thought but i realize now i have no time to share it but i will just say i know jesus christ lives RIGHT NOW. isnt that cool? he is somewhere and he knows each and every one of us very perfectly and specifically. he knows our weaknesses and our strengths and most importantly our POTENTIAL. he has given us the chance to meet that potential, that godly and wonderful potential to become just like him one day. that is why we are here, to learn to become like him. :) what a wonderful gift and a glory, to know him by knowing his children and knowing his words.

it is impossible without him. but all is possible with him. ALL THINGS

I LOVE YOUUUUUUUU EAT SOME CANDY AND SHAKE SOME TINSEL
Have a merry christmas all of my heart. i wish i could give the world a hug right now

Those poor unfortunate souls 12/12/16

i cried today but it was cause i was laughing my little bum off. you are all just so funny hahaha i think alicias barf story just cut the cake though. teesh im sorry you had to clean up the sausage chunks until 8 in the morning you made me and my companion get lil bit teary eyed

well here you go a small update

aj my first experience training is better than yours. oh my flip this girl is just so so cool. her name is sr dumouchel and she is from canada and im convinced we are the same person. i bought her one of those calendars you open up a thing every day until christmas and it had darth vader on the front. she was so pumped and then  i knew we would be good friends. she knows all of my lord of the rings quotes and stuff too. she reminds me a lot of emily degn minus the crazy hahaha we just talk and talk and she makes me laugh SO HARD. she told me tons of jokes and this is the best this joke:

whats the difference between a dirty bus stop and a lobster with a large chest?

one is a crusty bus station and one is a busty crustacean

 hi

i dont have time. but my daughter is even more rad than me. shes from CANADA where its COLD and here it is very HOT  like hotter than ive ever known in my life. we step outside for one second and the sun burns us into those shriveled up little seaweed creatures from the little mermaid.

but sr dumouchel dont care. shes super chill like her home place. we do nothing but laugh

please peace out and have a happy christmasy week :) soak in the snow for me

love tuahine audrey anna durrant

I'm a murderer and I'm pregnant 12/5/16

sorry for the subject title. i bet you are all thinking im going home soon because i have broken two very serious commandments. what can i say, this week got the best of me!
just kidding hahaha but i did succeed in killing lebron james on saturday. bye my old friend, i hope you read this and know that you were the best basketball player and the "craziest thing ive ever known." kevin durrant will never be the same. fo reals sista you will be missed in my life. thanks for all the fun work :)
-ode to james
the other part, where im pregnant, tout simplement, just means that IM GONNA BE A MOM!!!! thats right im training a new person missionary!!!! ahhhhh just typing that makes me have a little nervous centipede in my stomach cause wow do i feel like an unprepared person. i teach our amis to not have kids out of high school and here i am, such a baby myself...
but also im so pumped. i have no idea who this new missionary will be cause she gets here on wednesday. normalement. thats the thing about islands.. sometimes you ahve to be alone in your sector for like 5 days cause your old companion leaves and you have to wait for the weather, the boat, and the plane, and the full moon, and the end of the world...
but even with so much of the unknown, stress, lack of companion for a week, lack of car, lack of experience, and not to mention my thousands of weaknesses I KNOW THAT MIRACLES EXIST! when i got the call that i was gonna train i was so so so scared. i cried and all that. then i just got on my knees and prayed with all i had that heavenly father would help me do his will, that i could become the kind of person he wanted me to be and that if i was humble and obediant he would guide me. im telling you guys, for the last two days doing splits with members and teaching lessons and making plans all alone, i will say one thing: i am not alone. you are not alone!!!! i will say this until the day i die!!! i dont have time to write down the amazing things that have happened in the last two days but ill try a few
we did the first lesson with a fisherman named pierre. this man is rad, he has good jokes, has a giant skull tattooed on his back, and all he does is go fishing all day all the time. during the lesson the spirit was just like "say this" and then "aks this" and so i just went with the flow. when i recited what joseph smith wrote about when christ and heavenly father came to him, he stared at me, right in my eyes the whole time, and cried. this 50 year old sunburnt man with beach hair bawled like a baby and stared at me. he said "is this a true story?" i was like "YES ITS TRUE" ahhhh thats never happened to me before like that. so cool
we also had a lesson with a lady named samantha and she told us about a surgery she had and she was sure she would die from it, but she woke up! i asked her why she thinks she was given a chance, and she said she wanted to have kids. so then we taught her about the plan of salvation and how she can be rid of her sicknesses one day and bring her future kids into heaven with her for freaking ever!! she was like "WHATTTT" and again i was like "YES ITS TRUE" then she wanted to get baptised.. now we just need to work with her concubin
gonna have some baptisms soon i hope. lots of problems to jump over first but i just want everyone to know that i love being a missionary, its the best thing ive ever done, and everyone do it. also that we dont have to be really special, skilled, or talented people to be capable of things. all we have to do is have a connection with our heavenly father and DO what he says willingly and humbly. if he asks you to study, study. if he asks you to wake up early, wake up. if he asks you to train a missionary, just train that missionary and be happy because thats what he wants.
this is life eternal, to know the true and living God.
living the dream. have fun in the snow logan :)

love yiuyou youojoiupoiuoiu

11/21/16 That's one way to make pancakes!

From Dad:
Yesterday I had an emergency I’ve never seen before- called “Bread Dough Poisoning”-  a dog ate about 2/3 of a loaf of bread dough.  It continues rising inside the dog and produces alcohol as a by product so the dog gets bloated and drunk.  And I observed something not mentioned in the books, when it comes out the back end it actually comes out slightly baked (since the inside of a dog is about 102 degrees) and this dog left a little pile on the clinic floor last night that smelled for all the world like baking bread…

From AJ:
So I just got done reading dads email to you. This morning I was at the clinic at like 6am and there was a pancake sitting on the ground. I sat there and stared at it forever wondering why in the heck someone would leave a pancake there. When I touched it I decided that it definitely was not a pancake, the outside just had the same look and texture. I have been confused about it all day and it finally makes sense now. Dad really needs to get better at cleaning up after himself. I am tired but I made it through another midterm week. Now I just get to enjoy thanksgiving break and get ready for finals. Almost through another semester! Nicole says hi. Hows life? Id send pics but I dont have any.

From Audrey:
emails this week: winners. all i can say is thank you
hahahaha but seriously i hope you tell that story to everyone. does aaron know what happened? i bet he will make pancakes for thanksgiving and tell evryone they came fresh from the clinic. too bad youre not eating durrant side this thanksgiving.
but have fun in blanding! say hi to everyone for meeeeeeeee send my love. i had a dream that curtis came to tahiti and i got so excited! he was just vacationing here all alone hahaha. i havent seen that kid for so long. also kellis hair is so SHORT! whatttt
and i wanna see these wedding pcs dang it yall are hape (that means youre messed up)
mom i just laughed and laughed at your email. your long story of the conquerer of the mouse. im so proud of you and your action plans with the stinky swiss cheese, keep progressing in life mom! and dont buy new dresses apparently. shudder. ew thats gross
and i laughed really hard also because sr jamess mom sent her this big long list of edifying quotes from the womens session and how these are the most wise and wonderful women in the world. im pretty sure "we are you and you are us" or whatever mea was on there too hahaha. women are so funny in the church.

thanksgiving in tahiti= nothing happens. hahaha we told everyone that day that we had a holiday about being grateful and they were all super uninterested. BUT we ate a lot of food. its kind of like every day is thanksgiving anyway hahah.

also its really really really hot. well mostly humid i guess. we are entering cyclone season which apparently means either it rains so hard that you think the roof might fall off or its so hot and humid that you think your skin might fall off. i get out of the shower and immediately have a layer of sweat again! yay!

this week was really busy. and i think i fell asleep every night before i even closed my eyes! its so cool though, its amazing to me how quick time goes when you have so much purpose every single minute of the day. theres no time to be bored. ever. heres some small details

theres this hippie man, jean eudes, we teach whos like 48 and lives in the mountains, has long hair, works in his faapu (garden), almost went to prison 8 times, and has visions. i thought he was lying at first about the last part up until his prayers were seriously powerfully answered by these... visions! he sees himself in these situations that hes never been able to explain until we taught him about priesthood authority and the atonement of jesus christ. the things he reads in the book of mormon, hes already felt or seen them before. its all familiar to him. its crazy being able to teach someone so SO OBVIOUSLY prepared by heavenly father to receive the gospel.
also jason, whos 20, is the young kid we met when we were talking to crazy ol maurice and he really really really wants to clean his life up. he says he wants to accept christ in his life again and "purify" himself. essons are so spiritual with him and he is so flippîng open to the gospel!!!! so there ya go. the saddest thing is when his parents wont accept his baptism because parents here are sometimes silly and wont let go of the "traditions of their fathers." but he said the most sincere beautiful prayer for us this week, and at the end he was like "sorry sisters, i cant pray very well with you two. when im with my friends i pray really pretty." we were like "what?? you pray with your friends??" hahahaha REFERENCES YESSS
