sorry for the subject title. i
bet you are all thinking im going home soon because i have broken two very
serious commandments. what can i say, this week got the best of me!
just kidding hahaha but i did
succeed in killing lebron james on saturday. bye my old friend, i hope you read
this and know that you were the best basketball player and the "craziest
thing ive ever known." kevin durrant will never be the same. fo reals sista
you will be missed in my life. thanks for all the fun work :)
-ode to james
the other part, where im
pregnant, tout simplement, just means that IM GONNA BE A MOM!!!! thats right im
training a new person missionary!!!! ahhhhh just typing that makes me have a little
nervous centipede in my stomach cause wow do i feel like an unprepared person.
i teach our amis to not have kids out of high school and here i am, such a baby
myself...
but also im so pumped. i have
no idea who this new missionary will be cause she gets here on wednesday.
normalement. thats the thing about islands.. sometimes you ahve to be alone in
your sector for like 5 days cause your old companion leaves and you have to
wait for the weather, the boat, and the plane, and the full moon, and the end
of the world...
but even with so much of the
unknown, stress, lack of companion for a week, lack of car, lack of experience,
and not to mention my thousands of weaknesses I KNOW THAT MIRACLES EXIST! when
i got the call that i was gonna train i was so so so scared. i cried and all
that. then i just got on my knees and prayed with all i had that heavenly
father would help me do his will, that i could become the kind of person he
wanted me to be and that if i was humble and obediant he would guide me. im telling
you guys, for the last two days doing splits with members and teaching lessons
and making plans all alone, i will say one thing: i am not alone. you are not
alone!!!! i will say this until the day i die!!! i dont have time to write down
the amazing things that have happened in the last two days but ill try a few
we did the first lesson with a fisherman named pierre. this
man is rad, he has good jokes, has a giant skull tattooed on his back, and all
he does is go fishing all day all the time. during the lesson the spirit was
just like "say this" and then "aks this" and so i just went
with the flow. when i recited what joseph smith wrote about when christ and
heavenly father came to him, he stared at me, right in my eyes the whole time,
and cried. this 50 year old sunburnt man with beach hair bawled like a baby and
stared at me. he said "is this a true story?" i was like "YES
ITS TRUE" ahhhh thats never happened to me before like that. so cool
we also had a lesson with a
lady named samantha and she told us about a surgery she had and she was sure
she would die from it, but she woke up! i asked her why she thinks she was
given a chance, and she said she wanted to have kids. so then we taught her
about the plan of salvation and how she can be rid of her sicknesses one day
and bring her future kids into heaven with her for freaking ever!! she was like
"WHATTTT" and again i was like "YES ITS TRUE" then she
wanted to get baptised.. now we just need to work with her concubin
gonna have some baptisms soon i
hope. lots of problems to jump over first but i just want everyone to know that
i love being a missionary, its the best thing ive ever done, and everyone do
it. also that we dont have to be really special, skilled, or talented people to
be capable of things. all we have to do is have a connection with our heavenly
father and DO what he says willingly and humbly. if he asks you to study,
study. if he asks you to wake up early, wake up. if he asks you to train a
missionary, just train that missionary and be happy because thats what he
wants.
this is life eternal, to know
the true and living God.
living the dream. have fun in the snow logan :)
love yiuyou youojoiupoiuoiu
