The beauty of dirty knees 7/11/16

hey world im sorry for not writing last week! we had an activity with some very rich members who live on a mountain in Tahiti. if anyone ever has the chance to go up a mountain in Tahiti, please go because youll never see anything more beautiful. besides my face.

hehehe

ok but heres the scoop

i love it here and its also so difficult. the language sometimes clicks and sometimes i swear that the two months in the mtc didnt do a single thing for me and i just came here a newborn naked English child. maybe that would be better because kids learn faster than Audrey durrants

other things are hard too and i get really discouraged on occasion.  but this week i read a letter from a dear friend and it said

"lean on him for EVERYTHING. he wants you to. thats his purpose and his design. no where else could you have just the right trials."

there are trials like im confused and feel so alone sometimes and just dont understand. i feel like a lost puppy dog which is never fun. one day this week, a missionay in our house got in an accident, and then this dog that lives at our house bit someone and it was such a stressful day hahahaaaa aaaaaa

but theres so many blessings and tender mercies. and funny stuff. like mami and papi gunahoa who are my new parents here. they feed us so many crepes. like the lady we found and taught who told us she has never shared with any other religion but she felt something different when we were talking to her. like the little girl that i was playing with who just stood up and kissed me on the cheek. or the poor 10 year old boy who accidentally walked in on me going to the bathroom because no houses have doors here hahahahaha the poor kid. and the fact that i never knew how much it would mean to me to receive an ensign in English. maybe its hard right now simply because of the time im forced to my knees because of no where else to turn.

the sun will always come up and show that in the darkness and confusion, you really learned to see.

i love being a missionary. love y'all. GOD IS REAL
